DataOhio Portal Initial Datasets

The InnovateOhio Platform, in partnership with the Department of Health (ODH), the Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (DRC), the Department of Youth Services (DYS), and the Department of Higher Education (ODHE), is pleased to launch the DataOhio Portal. The DataOhio Portal is a first-of-its-kind public-facing portal technology that displays public and secured datasets, allowing the state's programs and partners, as well as the general public, access to key State of Ohio data and reports.

The introduction of the portal ushers in a new era of innovation, customer service, and analytical insight for the state of Ohio.
This inaugural launch of the DataOhio Portal provides insight across 200 datasets and 60 visualizations, allowing for unprecedented transparency and access across the state of Ohio.

  • Children and Youth: There are various datasets offered on the portal which provide transparency and insight into the health, vitality and lifestyle of Ohio’s children, including information from the Ohio Department of Health and the Ohio Department of Youth Services.
  • Clinical: Clinical data is sourced from health and medical programs to provide a greater understanding of clinical and genetic results from across Ohio.
  • Corrections: Corrections datasets offer insight and transparency into the aggregate trends and information related to corrections services throughout Ohio.
  • Directories: These datasets include indexed information regarding recreation, staffing and registry catalogues.
  • Education: Data includes insights from the Ohio Department of Higher Education, including information on school enrollment information and completions by degree.
  • Employment: Datasets are a cross-section of information from agencies and provides insight into employment trends and facts, such as In-State Retention of Graduates and Unemployment by Geography and Level of Education Attainment.
  • Environmental: Provides a look into environmental-centric information and data including, Sewage Permits and Treatments and E. coli Levels and Water Quality History.
  • Finance: Many of the datasets include financial transparency across state programs, such as Annual Report data, State Scholarship Funding and Tuition and Fees for Educational institutions.
  • Health: Numerous datasets offer key health and public health data from across Ohio, including social services, medical trends and other critical insights regarding the health and vitality of Ohio’s communities.
  • Nutrition: Visitors to the Portal are able to access information regarding nutrition data, including nutrition trends throughout Ohio’s schools.

The InnovateOhio Platform will continue to add datasets, visualizations, capabilities, and functionality, in order to empower state leadership, agencies and the public with key State of Ohio data and information.
