The Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) recently joined the DataOhio portal, with their Public Employment Risk Reduction Program (PERRP) Frequently Cited Standards dataset, which helps to ensure that state and local government employees have safe and healthful working conditions.
The dataset is now available to the public through an interactive visualization and will allow users to customize views most relevant to them. Users can filter the dataset by an adopted regulation, visit type, public employer type/sector, or by visit location county.
“BWC is committed to being transparent,” said Stephanie McCloud, BWC Administrator/CEO. “DataOhio offers increased transparency for the public with interactive and easy self-service access to key PERRP data.”
The PERRP Frequently Cited Standards dataset is the first of several datasets published by the BWC, with plans to launch additional dashboards on the DataOhio Portal later this month. Users can access this dashboard by visiting data.ohio.gov and filtering by Bureau of Workers’ Compensation.
The vision of the DataOhio Portal is to be the centralized location for State of Ohio data for state agencies and their partners. The Bureau of Workers’ Compensation joins 10 other agencies to collectively provide over 300+ datasets and 175 visualizations, which delivers transparency across the state, while helping to inform programs and policy, for a better Ohio.
