Women Screened and Served by Grant Year
Total number of women served for breast and/or cervical cancer in a grant year. Footnotes: *Grant year (GY) is defined as July 1 through June 30. For example, 'GY19' represents July 1, 2018 - June 30, 2019. *Served indicates that a woman received at least one Pap test, HPV test, mammogram, screening MRI, CBE, or diagnostic service in the grant year. Major drops/increases 1. GY 2006: Decreased number of women served due to a significant decrease in grant funding. 2. GY 2011 and 2012: Additional tobacco settlement funds were received for extra screening capacity. 3. GY 2014 and 2015: Medicaid expansion was implemented 1/1/2014, decreasing the number of women eligible for BCCP. 4. GY19: Ohio BCCP expanded eligibility: *Increased eligibility from 200% and below to 250% and below. *Lowered cervical screening/diagnostic age to 21 from 40. *Lowered breast screening/diagnostic age for symptomatic/high risk women to 25
